Loose parts play

The Early Childhood centre that I worked for was inspired by Reggio Emilia school of thought. This meant that loose parts play was a permanent learning area within the Kinder room. Here I have set up a table activity where children can use a variety of loose parts such as sticks, pebbles, buttons, corks, etc. to study the anatomy and symmetry of insects.
